Empowering children, teens, and parents to thrive—naturally, playfully, and through curiosity

For when the clinical room just isn’t working.

Is your child going through a tough time right now? Maybe they’re dealing with big feelings or deep pain?

Every kid is different—some are sensitive, some really energetic, some more quiet—and sometimes the usual help doesn’t work. What they need is a safe place where they can be themselves without any pressure.

Out here, surrounded by nature, therapy feels relaxed and easy. Kids and teens can play, explore, or just be themselves, while feeling accepted and supported. That’s what I offer: honest, caring help that’s made to fit your child.

I’m here to see your child as a whole person, not just their struggles, and to help them build confidence and calm that lasts long after our time together.

Using trauma therapy outdoors to help children and teens feel calm and safe, creating space for real, lasting change that supports their growth in a way that respects their own pace

What makes this practice different?A Private Sanctuary

In-person sessions happen on my private 20-acre property—not a public park or office—giving your child privacy and a chance to connect with nature in a calm, safe space.

Tailored, Trauma-Informed Care

Every client gets clear, professional session notes and email support between sessions.

For children under 11, I primarily use therapeutic, nature-inspired play and for teens 13+, I draw on the following modalities; Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems, Schema Therapy, and Somatic Therapy to name a few.

Human-to-Human Healing

I don’t believe in box-ticking therapy. With kids ages 3 to 11, I use child-led play; with everyone, I bring warmth, skill, and honesty to our sessions. Your story matters here, and I’ll always listen and treat it with care.

Here’s how I support your child’s journey to feeling better

When life feels heavy or emotions get overwhelming, your child can find a calm, safe space outdoors - a place to take a breather, figure things out, and move forward in your own time

In-Person, Individual Therapy

All child and teen therapy sessions are conducted on my property, either playing or exploring the outdoors, or in a private glamping tent.

Parenting Strategy Consults

1:1 Support for parents to help rebuild trust and communication with their child. Includes the same structured, trauma-informed support and planning.

These can be held in-person at my property or online.

Hi, I'm The Outdoor Social Worker.

I’m a social worker with over ten years’ experience supporting children, families, and individuals through hard times. My journey began in frontline child protection in London, where I later led a team helping vulnerable families navigate their struggles.

As a parent and someone who feels deeply, I understand how overwhelming life can be when emotions run strong and sensitivity is part of who you are.

Now living in Tasmania, I offer a different kind of therapy—sessions held outdoors in nature, where all feelings and quirks aren’t just accepted but respected and embraced. In the peace of the bush, children and teens can slow down, feel safe, and connect in a way that’s natural and genuinely supportive.

My approach is grounded in safety, experience, and real human connection—offering a gentle, heartfelt alternative to traditional therapy that honors each young person’s individuality and pace.

The Journey Is Simple

Step 1: Book your free 20-minute Introductory Call

Step 2: Book your 90-minute initial session (if we’re a good fit)

Step 3: Receive your tailored treatment roadmap

Step 4: Begin nature-based therapy with real, ongoing support

Wondering if this is the right fit for your child?

Your child doesn’t need to love being outside or share everything all at once to get something meaningful from this. They’ll be met with care, safety, and respect.

In the first session, I’ll just speak with you and we’ll talk about what your child has been experiencing, any worries you have, and what you hope to work on.

Let’s take the first step, together

Your child doesn’t have to go through this on their own. This is a calm, nature-filled place where they’ll be met with understanding, kindness, and real care—support that’s both gentle and professional, accepting them just as they are.
